Site Name: Lifeboat Road Recreation Area

Summary Site Description : An open area of mainly fixed and mobile dunes, with some scrub and pine plantations. A significant area of dunes were modified by asparagus farming and recreation pressure. Site provides an excellent example of dune restoration management following damage. Dune front has moderate marine erosion. Site of Britains first Lifeboat Station.

Other: Site Ranger and Education Ranger available on enquiry. Booking required for educational visits and proof of insurance. Picnic tables.
