Project Funding

The funding grant for the Sands of Time Project is one of English Nature’s National Conservation Development Grants under their 1998/9 Maritime initiative. Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council gained the grant using match funding from the Sefton Coast Life Project. Sefton M.B.C. have commissioned Liverpool Hope University College to help implement the Sands of Time project.

The funding was gained because the Sands of Time project has wide relevance to the coast of England, and the results are expected to assist understanding and management of coastal dunes throughout Europe.
